This project aims to raise awareness among the population about the crucial role of pollinators and the threats to their survival due to climate change in the province of Gipuzkoa. Through a series of illustrations based on scientific data, the project visualizes how variations in climate can alter the habitats and dynamics of pollinators, such as bees, butterflies, and other insects essential to local ecosystems.
The idea
The aim is to illustrate how climate change could affect our immediate surroundings, putting pollinators at risk, so that the public can identify this problem as something that affects us all. The intention is to raise awareness and encourage a proactive attitude towards climate change, motivating citizens to take action.
The result
A series of three scientific infographics that visualize the consequences of climate change on pollinators, plants, and biodiversity in general. These infographics seek to convey in a clear and accessible way how climate change alters the natural balance, affecting ecosystems that are key to our survival.
*This series of infographics is part of the “El zumbido de cambio” (The Buzz of Change) project, funded through the grant program for research and innovation projects on climate change of the Department of Sustainability of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, and was carried out under the supervision of the Aranzadi Department of Entomology.
